Graphics templates are needed as vector format, for example: .ai, .eps, .svg, .pdf in the original scale.

The color space for digital prints should always be set to CMYK. For screen printing or embroidery, the color space stored in the graphic does not matter in principle - here the colors are later defined by yarn or screen print color - see also "Color Charts".

All ingredients, e.g. Fonts and logos should be embedded in paths so that there are no deviations from e.g. replaced fonts can come.

If it is not possible to create a template in vector format you can also use graphics in pixel format .jpg, .pdf, .tif, .psd etc. - but here it is extremely important that the following criteria are met:

Format (in cm) of the desired production size adjusted in final size
Resolution at least 200 dpi

We reserve the right to refuse graphics that do not meet the required criteria.

Difference between pixel and vector graphics

Graphics can be saved in two different ways, as pixel or vector graphics.

In a pixel graphic, each individual color point is individually created in grids. The individual color points within the raster graphic are in turn combined to form an overall picture. If you look at a pixel graphic (enlarged), you can clearly see the individual halftone dots - the edges appear unclean with increasing magnification and are also graduated with several colors.

The graphics look so ugly and the number of colors increases - this is also called that a graphic is "pixelated".

A vector graphic is based on geometrically defined objects connected by mathematical formulas. The individual "vectors" consist of lines, curves, circles and polygons which are given their form by giving further data.

In comparison to pixel graphics, vector graphics can be resized without loss of quality and therefore play a very important role in the production area.

Difference between CMYK and RGB colors

One can generally choose between two color spaces in graphics, the subtractive CMYK color space and the additive RGB color space.

The CMYK color space consists of the colors cyan, magenta, yellow and the key color black and is (mostly) printed on white background. The application finds the CMYK mode mostly in digital printing and is sure to get to know most people already in connection with the domestic inkjet printer.

In this color space, the individual colors are set successively to the substrate to be printed and depending on the mixing ratio (0-100).

Theoretically, in CMYK mode, over 4 billion colors are possible, so not all are displayed on one screen and on paper - so the CMYK color space is smaller than the RGB color space.

The RGB color space consists of three basic colors red, green, blue. Depending on the mixing ratio of these colors, there are about 16.8 million color shades. The RGB mode is used for digital images, including all monitors and screens. The same basic colors RGB are "light colors" and the color perception is generated by the mixing of light. The more color added, the brighter the picture becomes. If you add all three basic colors together in maximum color strength, you get the color white - therefore we speak here of an additive color space.

It should be noted that the representation of CMYK colors on one screen, the other works in RGB color mode.
